YOUR ROLE
- Review/advise on various contracts with our business partners (both in English and Japanese)
- Support corporate, competition, employment law and various other legal matters for our business operation in Japan
YOUR SKILLS
- Law degree (LL.B, LL.M or JD)
- 8+ year experience of giving legal advice to companies in Japan (i.e., having profound knowledge of Japanese laws and practices), either in law firm, or in company (manufacturing company preferred)
- Capable of advising on multiple legal fields (e.g., contracts, corporate, antitrust, data privacy, dispute resolution, employment laws, IP, M&A)
- Proficiency in written English. Ambition to be fluent in spoken English is also necessary
- Valid license to practice law (either in Japan or abroad) is preferred, but not a must
- Experience in leading a team of lawyers
- Work experience (not necessarily related to law) both in Japanese and multinational companies
